Perimenopause
The storm before the calm
No, you're not losing your mind. Things change in perimenopause, which can start in a woman's mid-30's, and may last for a decade or more. You may be feeling symptoms of brain fog, fatigue, vaginal dryness, heavy menstrual bleeding, hot flashes...the list goes on.
Every woman's experience is different, and a variety of treatments (hormone therapy, medication, and herbal options) are available. Individualized protocols include recommendations for nutrition, fitness, sleep & stress management, and supplements and/or prescription options as needed.

Menopause
Time to focus on the big picture
Once a woman has gone 1 year without a menstrual period, she is officially in menopause. The bothersome symptoms of perimenopause gradually decline, and many women find their attention shifting toward their long-term health.
This is the perfect time to prevent chronic diseases, such as Type 2 Diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and osteoporosis. I love working with women to optimize their health, helping them age with wellness.
Menopause Society Certified Practitioner
I'm proud to be certified by The Menopause Society as an expert in treating women in perimenopause and beyond. Practitioners with the MSCP certification must pass a rigorous exam and earn additional menopause-related continuing education credits every year. This is where my passion for improving the lives of women meets science and clinical best practices.

“I am convinced your recommendations are why I have the energy and performance level I do today. Which by the way feels pretty amazing.”
Holly S.

From our very first meeting, I was blown away by Dr. Alisha's depth of knowledge, passion and no-nonsense approach to helping women navigate the often murky waters of hormone health. There is so much conflicting information and stigma around perimenopause and menopause and each woman's journey is so personal. Having Dr. Alisha in my corner was a game changer for me. I feel so educated and empowered to navigate the road ahead with confidence, to advocate for my physical and mental health, and feel my best.
